To Kill a Matzo Ball by Delia Rosen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This mystery was a little darker than most cozies, as it delved into racial/hate crimes. Gwen's deli is shot at while she's talking to a catering client. He manages to pull her to safety, but he is killed. Gwen is left with survivor's guilt, and not knowing who was the target. The conflict is resolved, but you can't call it a happy ending. I did not guess the murderer, though. Includes one recipe.
