Ever had one of those days?

The alarm went off and I could not believe it was 7am already. I dragged myself out of bed, got the twins ready, walked them to the bus. The bus was 20 minutes late. That meant I had to rush home, shower, skip my coffee, and take the toll roads to try and get to work on time. I drive into the parking lot at 5 min. to 9 and think I'll be okay. Wrong! There is no parking available for some reason. I rush to the next parking lot, find a spot, and run to work. I get lucky and am able to clock in at 9am. Then on the way home, there is a car crash right next to me as I'm stopped at a light. If either of the cars had bounced sideways, I would have been hit. I barely make it home in time to pick up kids from the bus. Then I take them to the playground, and all they do is whine. We come home, I make dinner, and it comes out too salty. I hope the day is over now.

Twitter in Portuguese

I just joined Twitter in order to follow some of my fellow Disney maniacs and Cozy Mystery authors. Instead, I keep getting twitters in portuguese from people I do not know, never signed up for, and don't really want. They show as 'following' even if I didn't request it. Every day there are more. I 'unfollow' and 'block' them, but some of them keep coming back. If I have to block them 3 times, I report them for spam. Is there anything else I can do?

Dissapointed!!

We drove over an hour today to a place that appeared on Guy Fieri's DDD show. Food was very average. Not bad, but not great. Definetely not worth the drive. We will do more research next time.

Went to the Florida State Fair yesterday. We had a good time, but I was disgusted by the many young idiots--err adults wearing their pants below their butts. Not teenagers, mind you, but guys in their 20's, and not on their hips, but below the cheeks. Yuck!

I keep trying

Why do I always forget I have a blog? My brain is fried. I'm wondering if I should turn this into a job seeking blog or a book reading one. I'm one chapter away from finishing The Spellman Files by Lisa Lutz.

In Lorton, waiting for the auto train

We got to Lorton last night after an awful moving day. The movers started at 9am, and despite their crew being 4, it took till 4 pm to pack up the house. We finally got to Lorton after stops to drop off things at Goodwill, drop off the keys with the realtor, and dinner to avoid rush hour on I-95. Was horribly exhausted and fell asleep early.

Woke up with a horrifying headache, but managed to bathe the kids, shower, and make it to breakfast. Now I'm waiting for DH to wake up and see how to kill the few hours till we go to the train station.

The adventure begins

This is our last night in Maryland. Tomorrow the movers come and we start on our way to Florida. I can't wait!
